Hi there, I'm Kathy!
Before becoming a Pilates coach, I spent over 10 years working in an office environment. The nature of my job, combined with prolonged poor sitting posture, gradually put a lot of pressure on my spine. Then came the turning point: at the age of 29, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and had to undergo surgery. Despite the procedure, the lower back pain persisted.
I tried Yoga and going to the gym, but nothing seemed to truly help. Then, by chance, I discovered Pilates — a method that focuses on strengthening the core and restoring alignment. It was life-changing. Through consistent practice, I not only reduced my back pain but also regained confidence in my body.
I’ve practiced Pilates at various studios across the country, but I eventually realized that no one understands my spine better than I do. That’s what motivated me to dive deeper into the science of movement.
I became a certified Pilates instructor through STOTT Pilates, one of the world’s most respected Pilates education schools. I also became a Certified Franklin Method Teacher — a world-renowned approach that combines movement, imagery, and anatomy to improve function and performance.
Today, I continue to study, practice, and evolve — and I'm passionate about helping others overcome pain, improve posture, and build a healthier, more flexible spine through mindful movement.
